Well there goes another summer !!!!

Cannot believe its gone so quick but over the last few years September has turned out to be a really nice month so its not all done yet (hopefully).

The hot spells we had were very nice although yet again we did appear to get a wind blowing and to top it off it was in the main from the South.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of going in Home Bargains last week and they have the Christmas stuff out !!! bonkers utter bonkers.

Flying wise I think it has been a pretty good summer with a good selection of new models at the field and some models that had actually been built, proper models.

I do find it frustrating when there are video after video on social media showing somebody with a new model, the first five minutes of the video is about unboxing the model followed by how the build went, they did not build it they assembled it !!!! rant over.

One Wednesday afternoon a few weeks ago a few of us noticed a very strange cloud forming and it sat over our field for a couple of hours.

I sent the photo to my paragliding friend and he informed me that it was a wave cloud, apparently very rare to see one over coastal areas more an inland cloud form.

Trainers/Trainees

The list of club trainers has been refreshed and their names are below.

A couple of the trainers are of an age where work does not get in the way and if contacted may be able to accommodate mid week sessions.

As a trainee get to know these trainers if needed ask for their phone numbers or use the Clubs messenger group to make contact with them.

Don’t rely on the same trainer all the time, all the trainers will offer the same amount of training and to the same standard/goal.

Training sessions are Wednesday evening and Sunday mornings weather dependant of course

Chris Vernon, Jason Reid, Jake Reid, Mark Conlin, Andy Harrison, Anthony Ollerton, Dave Hindley, Kev Watson
